What should I do if I have a vacancy?
Telephone or email us to discuss your vacancy. Our tried and tested recruitment methods will help you find the right person for the role – quickly and with minimum disruption to your business. There is no cost for any consultation.
We have devised a 10-step recruitment process to ensure we get the best results for you:
- You contact us regarding a vacancy
- We visit your offices or discuss the role and agree job description
- We conduct a detailed and in depth search for suitable candidates
- We meet all of our candidates (wherever possible) before formally submitting them to your vacancy
- CVs of short-listed candidates are sent to you for discussion
- Candidates for interview are agreed with you
- We arrange the interviews
- Feedback received from interviewer and discussed with candidates
- Offer negotiated and confirmed
- References forwarded for approval
How do you source candidates?
Local candidate network – We have been in the local market for a long time – in excess of years. Our success lies is our network of Canterbury and South Island candidates. Although we advertise on Seek, we do not rely on it. We capture passive candidates who don’t actively use Seek.
We are also the 1st ‘port of call’ when many of these people start their accounting and finance job search also.
Working with active labour market – At any one time we tend to be working with 80-90% of the Active labour market within Christchurch. The skill lies in our technical understanding of Accounting and finance and the ability to match personality to culture
Advertising and marketing – Media advertising is a productive way of attracting Accounting and finance Staff but one advert will only tend to attract 2-3% of the activce . We deal with all aspects of the advertising campaign, from identifying the right media outlets to copywriting and placing the advert. We screen all the responses we receive and present you with a short-list of candidates matching your criteria.
We also make extensive use of online networking tools such as Linkedin.
Do you offer testing?
Yes, we work closely with our partners who can advise you on the most suitable type of test for your requirements and implement it on your behalf. Further details can be found in our section on psychometric testing.
How can a recruiter understand what my business needs are?

How much are your rates?
We only charge your businesses a fee for the recruitment service when the successfully appointed candidate has formally started with their new employer. We ask no business for a retainer as we are confident in our ability to find you the right person.
If you are being asked to pay a retainer before you have even interviewed or offered the position, you could be taking a huge financial gamble.
