Simon began his career in technology retail in the UK during both the home PC and smartphone booms. After 15 years across two successful multi-national businesses, including taking a high street mobile retail store to the top 10 in the UK, he found a home in accountancy and finance recruitment in 2016. After 6 years working in the UK, he took the opportunity to make a move 12 time zones across the world and started his New Zealand journey in Dunedin. 2 years after that, he was offered a chance to move to Christchurch after a successful launch of the Otago business.

Joining Profile Group in December 2025, Simon brought his nearly decade of finance knowledge, his relentless drive and mildly outré music tastes to the existing team of high performing experts. Across his recruiting career, he had both led teams and had great leaders, and he brings both of those passions with him as well.

Outside of work, Simon is a father of four (currently), a gym enthusiast and amateur strongman, and an avoider of injuries (unsuccessfully).
