This Accountant role is a fantastic opportunity for an established Assistant Accountant looking for a step up in responsibility, or an Accountant in a CA practice looking to apply their experience in a commercial organisation. Working in a large and nationally recognised group, this role will provide the successful candidate with the strong foundations required to succeed in their commercial accounting career.
Working with various stakeholders on a range of different activities, this role will provide enough variety to keep things interesting and prevent the feeling of repetition which can be common in the accounting space.

The Role
- Preparation of annual financial statements and tax compliance
- Assisting with monthly reporting, month end accounting procedures and variance analysis
- Interacting with stakeholders across the operation to communicate results and influence positive business outcomes
- Annual budget compilation and periodic forecast activities, including analysis
- Working with the wider team on various projects including systems and process improvement, cost benefit analysis etc
The Profile
- Part or fully qualified CA, CPA or equivalent
- Experience with NZ tax compliance (GST, FBT, Income Tax etc)
- Prior exposure to a large ERP system is viewed favourably
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Hold full, unrestricted working rights to work in New Zealand
