A leading independent firm with a global presence, is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join its global finance team of three.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this hands-on role supports multiple international entities and plays a critical part in maintaining strong financial controls, accuracy, and compliance across jurisdictions of a growing global business.

- Mentorship and support towards completing your CA or Accounting Technician qualification
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Support month-end processes, intercompany reconciliations, and ad-hoc reporting for the Group Financial Controller
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier queries across entities
- Process staff reimbursements and reconcile corporate credit cards in line with company policy
- Support payroll coordination across three regions, including report review and journal reconciliations
- Manage the finance inbox, responding to internal and external queries across time zones
You are detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a structured finance role within a professional services or corporate environment. You understand the importance of deadlines, accuracy, and consistency, and you take pride in getting the fundamentals right.
You bring a disciplined approach to your work, communicate clearly, and work well as part of a small, collaborative team. You are confident handling routine finance tasks independently, while knowing when to escalate issues or seek guidance.
Ideal experience will be the below, but training is also provided:
- Proven experience in an accounts or finance administration role within a multi-entity environment
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Experience supporting payroll across multiple regions
- Exposure to multi-currency transactions and intercompany processes
- Experience using Xero
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Candidates will need valid working rights for New Zealand
