The Opportunity
As the Commercial Performance Analyst, you’ll be joining a well-established business with a strong operational footprint in a role that gives you the opportunity to influence key financial outcomes that impact business performance.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting operational decision-making, providing commercial insights across cost, performance, working capital and improvement initiatives.

Working closely with operational, logistics and finance stakeholders, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of business activities outside of purely finance.

Utilising your strong analytical capability, you’ll be responsible for interpreting performance, identifying trends and supporting projects that drive efficiency, improvement and better commercial outcomes.

The Role
  • Partnering with operations and finance stakeholders to provide commercial insight and support decision-making
  • Monitoring actual performance against budgets and forecasts, including key driver, risk and opportunity analysis
  • Supporting month end close activities relating to operational performance
  • Financial modelling and analysis across P&Ls, cost drivers, working capital and improvement initiatives
  • Supporting evaluation of strategic projects, capital investment and cost saving opportunities
  • Identifying trends and recommending actions to improve performance

Your Profile

  • BCom in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience working with large datasets
  • Experience working with P&Ls, budgets, forecasts and performance reporting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence constructively and partner across the business
  • Hold full, unrestricted working rights for New Zealand and be based in or actively relocating to Christchurch
