As the Finance Manager, you’ll join on a short term contract in a broad finance role supporting senior leadership through the delivery of accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play an integral role within the finance team, providing support across monthly and annual reporting cycles while contributing to ongoing business performance and decision-making.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, assist with business analysis and shareholder-related activities, and contribute to process, system and reporting improvements across the finance function. You will also have the opportunity to provide guidance and support to wider finance team members while helping maintain strong financial controls and governance processes.

The Role
- Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with senior leadership and external advisers.
- Preparation and review of monthly and annual financial reporting across multiple entities within the group.
- Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
- Management of audit processes, statutory compliance activities and shareholder administration requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives, finance system enhancements and reporting developments.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support across the wider finance function.
- Assist with financial analysis and due diligence activities as required.
Your Profile
- Chartered Accountant qualification (CAANZ or similar).
- Minimum two years' experience in a commercial financial accounting role and at least five years of accounting experience.
- Experience providing financial advice and support to managers and operational stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and commercial skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience supporting, guiding or training team members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hold full, unrestricted working rights for New Zealand and be based in or actively relocating to Christchurch.
