The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll play a hands-on part in maintaining accuracy, driving efficiency, and supporting business growth in a stable, collaborative environment.
Join a well-established organisation in a key support role that combines core financial operations with systems and process improvement. This part-time position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to the smooth running of finance and inventory functions while helping to implement and optimise integrated systems.

The Role
  • Process creditor invoices and prepare bank files for payment
  • Reconcile debtor payments, send statements, and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Process, file, and pay GST and RWT returns
  • Prepare month-end reporting and financial data for management and external accountants
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, identifying root causes
  • Collate information to support payroll processing
  • Support the implementation and optimisation of new financial and inventory systems
  • Maintain accurate financial and inventory records with a focus on data integrity
  • Adapt workload during peak periods and contribute to process improvements
  • Work confidently across integrated accounting and inventory systems
Your Profile
  • Experience working in finance within a business environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to improve processes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage varying workloads
  • Confidence working with accounting and inventory systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar operational environment and exposure to payroll or ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential
  • Candidates will need valid working rights for New Zealand.
