The Opportunity
As the Financial Controller, you’ll manage financial information, treasury systems and compliance requirements, ensuring reporting is timely, accurate, complete and aligned with relevant accounting, taxation and statutory requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to oversee month end, statutory reporting, audit, tax, treasury, payroll, budgeting and forecasting across a group environment, with a strong focus on controls, process consistency and data integrity.

Working closely with finance leadership and internal stakeholders, you’ll support a business partnering approach that keeps internal customers front and centre while improving financial capability across the organisation.

Utilising your experience as a people leader, you’ll manage and mentor the accounts team, embedding a one-team approach and supporting operational excellence through communication, coaching, training and regular performance feedback. 

The Company
This organisation operates across multiple group entities and requires a finance function that supports accurate reporting, strong controls, effective treasury management, payroll compliance, system integrity and practical business partnering across internal teams.

The Role
  • Management of month end accounting processes, including support for Board, Audit & Risk Committee and bank reporting
  • Statutory reporting and compliance, including year-end audit, tax, company secretarial matters and external adviser coordination
  • Oversight of ERP system controls, chart of accounts, financial master data, fixed asset registers and lease registers
  • Management of treasury, bank accounts and facilities, hedging instruments, cash position, AP, AR and working capital
  • Payroll oversight including procedures, controls and compliance with relevant legislation
  • Budgeting, forecasting, internal audit support, accounting manuals, policies, SOPs and ad hoc reporting

Your Profile
  • Degree qualified in finance and accounting, with CA strongly preferred
  • At least five years’ experience in a relevant finance management position in a manufacturing, agricultural or similar business
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, audit requirements, FX, treasury management, payroll legislation and tax compliance
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Business Central or an equivalent ERP system, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability
  • Proven people leadership through change, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to multiple deadlines
