Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with international operations. They are currently seeking a Qualified Accountant to support financial reporting, entity consolidation, budgeting, and process improvement across a growing multi-entity environment.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and working closely with operational and engineering teams in a technically focused manufacturing business. The position is based in the company’s Christchurch office.
About the Role
You will work across core financial reporting and business operations, helping bring structure, accuracy, and clarity to a fast-moving, operations-led environment.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:-
- Month-end and year-end close processes
- Multi-entity consolidation
- Budgeting and forecasting support & business partnering work
- Identifying and driving finance systems and process improvements
- CA qualified (or actively working towards qualification)
- Approximately 4–5 years’ experience, ideally from a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting background
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting and IFRS
- Experience in month-end/year-end processes and multi-entity environments
- Exposure to budgeting and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Practical, detail-oriented, with the ability to balance accuracy and pace
- Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
