The Opportunity
This is a rare chance for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to step into a strategic, advisory role where you'll diagnose complexities, identify high-value opportunities, and deliver prioritised recommendations that directly influence simplification, standardisation, automation, and cost reduction.
You'll work in a consulting-style capacity, focusing on current-state analysis and opportunity identification rather than implementation,  perfect if you thrive on cutting through ambiguity, facilitating workshops, and providing pragmatic ERP insights. Enjoy competitive contract rates, flexibility, exposure to a major NetSuite environment, and the satisfaction of laying the foundation for meaningful business transformation across two countries.

The Company
Morgan Furniture Group is a long-standing Australasian wholesale & retail business, known for the La-Z-Boy and Hunter Home brands. This third-generation family owned and led business has a long legacy of furniture manufacturing and wholesale; and more recent expansion into retail in New Zealand with 22 La-Z-Boy and Hunter Home shops, and 12 La-Z-Boy shops in Australia. With Executive teams located in Auckland and Christchurch, and over 200 employees in the wider group, they are a business on a growth journey, with a clear strategic plan. At Morgan Furniture, people work hard, support each other, are not big on hierarchy or formality, but have a strong desire to improve every day and succeed in their goals.

The Role
  • Conduct enterprise-wide process diagnosis across key domains including Customer Care, Order Management, Delivery & Logistics, Aftersales, Warehouse Operations, Finance, Procurement & Shipping and Retail.
  • Develop detailed current-state process maps and analysis
  • Analyse cross-market differences between NZ and AU operations, distinguishing operational necessities from opportunities for standardisation.
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities for process simplification, automation/AI enablement, cost reduction, and elimination of low-value activities.
  • Produce high-value deliverables including an Executive Opportunity Summary, prioritised backlog, process heatmaps, and categorised recommendations (quick wins, medium & longer term).
  • Provide neutral strategic advisory, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and highlight NetSuite constraints impacting business processes.
  • Deliver clear visibility of inefficiencies, duplication, and variation to inform future technology and investment decisions.
Your Profile
You are a Senior Business Analyst or consultant with extensive experience in complex, multi-site environments and a proven advisory/strategic mindset.
  • Hands-on familiarity with NetSuite ERP preferred but not essential
  • Strong expertise in process analysis, cross-functional mapping, and delivering executive-level insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations while challenging legacy practices constructively.
  • Background in retail, wholesale, or supply chain is highly desirable, along with exposure to ERP transformations or automation opportunities.
  • Independent, commercially pragmatic, and outcome-focused with strong analytical thinking.
Full working rights in New Zealand or Australia are required and no sponsorship is offered.
