The position offers broad exposure across FP&A, management accounting and finance business partnering, with scope to influence reporting, planning, analysis and decision support throughout the finance department. Working closely with finance, operational and business stakeholders, you’ll provide practical insight, strengthen financial information and help the organisation respond to changing priorities.

The Role
Not limited to, but to include:
- Deliver management reporting, analysis and commentary to provide clear visibility of financial and operational performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, planning and scenario modelling as part of the FP&A cycle
- Partner with operational leaders and other stakeholders across the manufacturing business, providing financial insight, constructive challenge and decision support
- Undertake management accounting activities, including performance analysis, cost review, margin analysis and support through month-end reporting
- Analyse financial and operational information to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas requiring further investigation
- Contribute to improvements across reporting, models, systems, controls and finance processes where required
- Provide flexible support across the wider finance department, responding to changing priorities and contributing to broader commercial and financial initiatives
Your Profile
- A relevant accounting qualification or equivalent practical experience, with a strong grounding in commercial finance or management accounting
- Experience gained within manufacturing is essential, with the ability to understand the relationship between operational activity and financial performance
- Strong capability across FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial analysis and business partnering
- Confident working with financial models, large data sets and finance systems, with advanced Excel capability
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to turn financial information into practical insight for finance and non-finance audiences
- Adaptable, commercially minded and comfortable joining a business on a contract basis, quickly establishing priorities and delivering with limited lead-in time
- Hold full, unrestricted working rights for New Zealand and be based in or actively relocating to Christchurch
